Silicon Design Engineer
RTL and Microarchitecture
The work
Register-level design of the security subsystems, and the microarchitecture decisions frozen at tape-out. You will argue about structure before writing a line of it, and live with the answer for a decade.
You would own
One or more major subsystems end to end — specification, RTL, micro-architectural trade-offs, and the interface contracts with everything around them.
Your first quarter
Reading the existing design and telling us what is wrong with it. Then taking a subsystem and owning it through to verification sign-off. We would rather your first month produced a good objection than a good commit.
We look for
Production RTL in silicon that shipped. Comfort with formal methods or the appetite to acquire it fast. Someone who has argued a microarchitecture decision against the room, turned out to be right, and can say how they knew.
Why it matters
Everything that ships is fixed at tape-out. This is where irreversibility lives.
